On April 24, 2024, the Department of Packaging and Materials Technology, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University, held a seminar on ” PET Recycling technology and safety assessment of recycling process for food contact applications” at Maruay Garden Hotel. The event aimed to provide updates on plastic recycling technology and global regulatory, feedstock management of plastic recycling process (Industrial practices), evaluation of decontamination efficiency of PET recycling process and innovation for improving the performance and quality of rPET to support industries producing plastic pellets and packaging from rPET, and food/beverage manufacturers as well as food contact materials laboratories. This seminar activity was part of our research project on “Improving performance and quality of recycled PET for packaging industry,” funded by the National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (NXPO), Thailand, trough Program Management Unit for Competitiveness Enhancement (PMU C).
